Getting started
Debrowser is a browser. Everything starts with a page.
Requirements
- iPhone, iPhone Duo or iPad running iOS or iPadOS 27.0 or later.
- Nothing else. There is no desktop companion, no cable and no proxy to configure.
Open a page
Type an address or a search into the address field. Tabs, private tabs, profiles, bookmarks and history work the way you expect from a browser. You can also open a local, read-only project folder from Files and browse it as a site.
Open the inspector
Tap the Inspect button in the browser bar, or press ⌘⌥I on a hardware keyboard.
- On iPad, and on an open iPhone Duo, the inspector appears beside the page. Drag the divider to resize it; dock it right, bottom or left from its menu.
- On iPhone, and on a folded iPhone Duo, the inspector is a drawer over the page. Drag the grabber between its detents. The page keeps its viewport while the drawer moves.
Pick an element
Tap the picker in the inspector toolbar, then tap or point at anything on the page. The Elements tree jumps to that node and highlights it on the page. On iPad, ⌘⇧C starts the picker.
Read and edit styles
With a node selected, Styles lists the matched and inherited rules, with the file and line each rule came from. Tap a declaration to edit it, use the checkbox to toggle it, or add a new one. Changes apply to the page immediately. Computed values and the box geometry are a tab away.
Check requests
Open Network to see what the page loaded: status, type, size and timing in a table with a waterfall. Tap a row for headers, payload, preview and response. Some fields may show a dash; WebKit limits and data sources explains which, and why.
Where things are
Every secondary action lives in the panel’s ⋯ menu, and every command is in the command palette (⌘K). Settings cover appearance, code font and size, line height and row density.
