Privacy policy
Debrowser is a developer browser for iPhone, iPhone Duo and iPad. This policy describes what the app does with data. It is short because the app does very little with it.
What stays on the device
- Browsing data. History, bookmarks, tabs, cookies and website data are stored locally by the system’s web view, under the app’s own container.
- Inspection data. Captured requests, console output, DOM snapshots, screenshots and exports are created on the device and stay there until you delete them or share them yourself.
- Settings. Appearance, fonts and panel preferences are stored locally.
- Captures from the Share and Safari extensions go into a local inbox inside the app.
What the app does not do
- It has no account system and no sign-in.
- It contains no analytics SDK, crash reporter, advertising framework or any other third-party data collection.
- It operates no cloud service. Nothing is uploaded by the app.
- It downloads no code. All inspector code ships inside the app.
Network requests the app makes
Debrowser is a browser. The websites you open make their ordinary requests to their own servers, and your searches go to the search provider you chose. Those services’ privacy policies apply to them. An explicit “re-fetch” of a source file in the Sources panel is a new request to that server and is labelled as such.
App Store privacy label
The intended label is Data Not Collected. It will be confirmed against the release build before submission.
Contact
The support address will be published with the first release.
This page describes a build that is still in development. It will be updated at release to match the shipping app exactly.
